Victory for KV Oostende against Sporting Charleroi

In the first of this weekend’s Belgian First Division games KV Oostende enjoyed a 2-1 win at home against Sporting Charleroi. The result brought to an end a run of 5 games without a win for KVO.

Richairo Zivkovic opened the scoring for KV Oostende on 26 minutes. The match seemed to heading towards a 1-0 win for the home side when David Henen’s 86 minute equalizer made for an exciting climax to the match.

Could the match be heading for a draw? Not on your life thought Matos who scored the winning goal for KV Oostende in the 90th minute of the game.

The result sees KV Oostende move up to 7th place in the league with 18 points from 14 games. However, they could slip back a few places depending this weekend’s other results. The same is true of Sporting Charleroi who are 9th with 17 points.
