Ambulance workers harassed by hooligans in Buizingen

In Buizingen (near Halle), ambulance workers have been attacked by a bunch of football hooligans when they came to help fans of a different team.

In Buizingen, just south-west of Brussels, a dinner party was going on for Anderlecht supporters. They were harassed by hooligans of rival club Standard de Liège, it has been reported. An ambulance came to the scene to help one of the victims, but the ambulance and its staff were harassed by by-standers themselves.

Their vehicle was damaged in the following brawl, but managed to leave the place. The local fire service department underlines that violence against rescue workers has been on the rise for some time now.
