Panda twins presented to the press: "There are doing very well"

The giant panda twins at the Pairi Daiza animal park in Hainaut (Wallonia) have reached the age of two weeks. The press had an opportunity to catch a glimpse of them. Lee Sambrook said "we are very pleased with their development. They are putting on a lot of weight each day, probably the same as I do." Twins would normally have no chance of surviving together in the wild, as the mother would only take care of one cub. At the zoo, the panda babies are staying with their mother alternately, while the other one is being nursed by the caretakers.
