Our roads could become particularly hazardous today

The rain should come in from the west in the afternoon, but it is possible that it remains almost dry in your area, as the rain will be moderate. The AWV has warned motorists to be careful: the first rain after a long dry spell can mix with dust, gravel and oil on a dirty road surface to create hazardous conditions. "Adapt your driving style and keep your distance", a tweet says. 

If it would remain dry in your area, the advice will apply for tomorrow or the day after, as rain is expected the following days as well.
