A wet start to the weekend

The weekend has started of wet. However, there is no need to panic as the rain will start to clear as the day progresses with just some scattered showers on Saturday afternoon and top temperatures of between 19°C and 23°C. Sunday will start off dry and with clear skies. As the day progresses there will be more cloud and some scattered showers. The Royal Meteorological Institute (KMI) forecasts dry, settled and quite warm weather for the early part of next week. 

On Saturday morning a front bringing rain crossed the country from south to north. On Saturday afternoon the weather will become dryer with sunny intervals, some cloud and a few scattered showers. Temperatures will reach 19°C in coastal areas and 23°C in the northeast of the country. Winds will be generally slight west to south-westerly.  

On Saturday evening we can expect a few scattered showers and some cloud. During the night it will remain dry. Towards the end of the night there is a chance of a few showers in western areas. Temperatures will fall to between 8°C and 13°C. Winders will be slight to moderate south to south-westerly.

Sunday will start off bright. However, cloud will gather as the day goes on. There could be some localised showers. Temperatures will reach 18°C on the High Fens and 23°C in the Kempen area of Antwerp and Limburg provinces. Winds will be moderate south-westerly.
