Football agent does deal with the Judicial Authorities
One of the chief suspects in the scandal that has beset Belgian football over the past few months has done a deal with the Judicial Authorities in order to obtain a reduction of sentence. The football agent Dejan Veljkovic is, along with his fellow agent, Mogi Bayat believed to be the mastermind behind the whole affair.
Mr Veljkovic’s solicitor Kris Luyckx told journalists that his client realises that he has made mistakes and fears that he could become the biggest victim in the ‘Clean Hands’ case. Consequently, Mr Veljkovic has asked to be given informer status.
“He is going to reveal all. We have requested his release under strict conditions and have every confidence that this will be granted. He realised very quickly that what he had done was wrong. He has lost 10kg since he entered custody”, Mr Luyckx added.
