Victories for AA Gent and Sporting Charleroi

In the final two First Division games of the weekend AA Gent enjoyed a convincing 4-0 win away at KV Oostende and Sporting Charleroi won 3-2 at home against Zulte Waregem.

AA Gent move up 6th place in the league after at 4-0 win away at KV Oostende. The Buffaloes were dominant. Limbombe opened the scoring for them on 16 minutes with Jeremtsjoek making it 2-0 to the visitors two minutes before half time.

Tsjakvetadze made it 3-0 to AA Gent on 59 minutes. Limbombe scored his 2nd and AA Gent’s 4th goal of the evening on 87 minutes to make for a final score of 4-0 in AA Gent’s favour. The result sees AA Gent move up to 6th place in the league with 17 points from 11 games. KV Oostende are 10th with 14 points.

Zulte Waregem bottom after defeat in Charleroi

Zulte Waregem are bottom of the league after at 3-2 defeat away at Sporting Charleroi. Meanwhile; the win sees Charleroi climb up to 8th place. Christian Benavente (photo below) opened the scoring for Sporting Charleroi just before half time.

However, 2 goals from Hamidi Harbaoui, from the penalty spot on 73 minutes and the other in open play on 83 minutes saw Zulte Waregem go 2-1 up. However, Sporting Charleroi didn’t lose their cool and 2 goals from Victor Osimhen (on 85 minutes and in the 5th minute of stoppage time) saw them claim victory.
