3-year-old dies after being run over on theme park carpark
A three-year-old child has died after being run over by a car on the carpark of the Walibi theme park in Wavre (Walloon Brabant). News of the tragic incident was released by the Walloon Brabant public prosecutors’ office on Wednesday morning.
The boy was walking with his parents and his 11-year-old brother on the carpark at around 5:20pm on Tuesday. A motorist accidently ran over the boy, who was from La Bruyère in Namur Province. He was taken to hospital in Ottignies where he was pronounced dead.
The public prosecutor office enlisted the assistance of a forensic team to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident. The driver of the vehicle that hit the toddler, a 41-year-old man from Namur, was breathalysed. The breath test proved negative.
