More rain on Saturday, drier on Sunday

We haven’t seen the last of the rain just yet and the Royal Meteorological institute (KMI) forecasts further downpours on Friday afternoon and Friday evening with more of the same forecast for Saturday. Sunday however will be drier. 

Friday afternoon will be very cloudy with periods of heavy rain and showers. Temperatures won’t reach any higher than 5°C or 6°C on the High Fens (in the East of Liège Province) and 12°C in the north of the country. There will be a fair bit wind with gust reaching speeds of between 50 and 65 km/h.

On Friday night wintery showers are possible on high ground in the Ardennes. Temperatures on the High Fens will fall to 1°C with temperatures falling to 7°C or 8°C in coastal areas.

Saturday will be cloudy with a front bringing showers from the North Sea. On high ground in the Ardennes the showers could be wintery. Maximum temperatures will reach between 5°C and 11°C. It will be windy with gusts reaching speads of up to 50km/h.

On Saturday night it is possible that snow might stick at some upland locations in the Ardennes.

Sunday will be chilly with rain in coastal areas and at the Ardennes. It will remain mainly dry in coastal areas. Maximum temperatures will range between 6°C and 12°C.

Monday will start of dry and sunny. However, cloud will increase during the day. Maximum temperatures will reach 10°C.
