Brussels Airport expects more than a million passengers during the forthcoming Easter holidays

Belgium’s biggest airport, Brussels Airport at Zaventem in Flemish Brabant is expecting a flood of passengers during the forthcoming Easter break. In a statement released on Wednesday the airport said it is expecting more than 1.1 million passengers between Friday 29 March and Sunday 14 April.

This is a slight increase of some 25,000 passengers on the number of passengers passed through Zaventem during the Easter holidays in 2023. In Belgium only Dutch-Medium schools are on vacation between 29 March and 14 April.

Many international school have already started a two-week Easter break and pupils at French-medium schools don’t get to start their spring break until the end of April.

Brussels Airport says that "Sunny destinations, city trips within Europe and trips further afield such as to the United States and the Dominican Republic remain very popular". In total, the airport has direct flights to 160 destinations during the Easter holidays.
