Man found dead next to electric scooter in Hasselt
The body of a man has been found next to an electric scooter on the Mombeekdreef in the Limburg city of Hasselt. It is not yet clear whether the man died as a result of an accident. At around 7am on Monday morning, the body of a man was found next to an electric scooter in Hasselt. The man’s body was found next to a road between the Wimmertingen and Rapertingen areas of Hasselt. The emergency services were called but were unable to save the man's life. The precise circumstances of the man’s death are still unknown.
The police closed the road where the body was discovered. The man could have died as a result of a road accident. However, he may have fallen from the scooter and died as a result or have become ill and died. The public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the cause of death.
