The world’s first hydrogen-powered boat docked at Antwerp

The Energy Observer, the world first ever hydrogen-powered boat has arrived in Antwerp. The boat will feature Watt’s Next, an exhibition dedicated to green energy in maritime transport. All weekend visitors will be able to learn how those involved in maritime transport are adopting greener energy alternatives.

The Energy Observer is a final example of this. Entirely powered by hydrogen it emits no CO2 nor particulate matter. The boat also produces wind and solar energy.

The Energy Observer already visited 14 countries around Mediterranean. After leaving Antwerp it will set sail for Scandinavia and the UK.
