Wood burners must become greener

By 2030 wood burners and open fires will be allowed to emit just half the level of damaging substances as they do today. The tougher rules are contained in the Green Deal that has been struck between Flemish Government, environment agencies and construction and technology companies. Wood burners and open fires are responsible for half the particulate matter in Flanders. However, modern burners are much more eco-friendly.
