Syria refugee crisis: the amazing story of Yusra Mardini

20/9/18 – Yusra Mardini is a Syrian refugee that VRT journalist Steven Decraene first met in 2015 after she had fled her country.  In 2016 she took part in the Olympics.  The book “Butterfly” telling her story has just been translated into Dutch.  Steven and Yusra now look back at her story that will soon be filmed. It hasn’t all been plain sailing.  Yusra’s sister, who was working for an ngo, is now in prison after the ngo was accused of people-trafficking.
