Meat products re-called due to salmonella infection
The Dutch authorities have warned their Belgian counterparts that Dutch meat that has been exported to Belgian companies could be infected with salmonella Goldcoast. The Food Safety Agency here has said that a ban has been put number of products leaving processing factories. Two meat companies have been ordered to re-call all the products already sold that could be infected.
A number of products could be affected and the Food Safety Agency has asked meat companies to carry out a risk analysis as in some cases the salmonella could have been neutralised during processing. In other cases the products must be recalled.
Vleeswaren Peeters is re-calling the following products.
- Le Césarin salami (400g) with lot numbers 21837 (Best before: 04/12/2018) and 21838 (Best before 11/12/2018), sold at Lidl.
- Salami 225g without garlic. Lot numbers 21838 (Best before 12/12/2018) sold by Delhaize.
- Nut salami Duo 2x75g (lot number: 21837) and nut salami 225g (lot number: 21837), that was sold by other channels.
The following Imperial Meat Products product is also being re-called.
Marcassou Jambon d'Ardenne (Best before : 04/12/2018 - 11/12/2018 - 20/12/2018 - 04/01/2019) with lot numbers : L004065 - 004071 - 004079 - 004092). This product was sold by Carrefour, Cora, Delhaize, Makro, Match and the Colruyt Group.
