Body in burning car in Port of Antwerp
Antwerp firefighters found a body in a burning car in the port of Antwerp last night. Police are working on the assumption that the person was already dead before the car was set alight and are investigating the incident as a potential crime.
It was shortly after midnight that fire-fighters were alerted to a burning car on a car park in the port of Antwerp. When fire-fighters attended the scene they discovered a body. Police believe that in all likelihood the person was dead before the car was set alight.
Police are prosecutors are working on the assumption this is a crime and not an accident. Federal police are investigating the matter.
