Rail strike: half of the trains is going
As announced, about 50 percent of rail services are going on this day of strike. You have the best chance of having a train when travelling to and from big cities.
The independent rail union OVS is staging another strike to demand more staff. The Belgian Rail company NMBS has worked out an alternative duty roster with those willing to work, focussing on the links to and from Belgium's major cities, the music festival Pukkelpop, the Ardennes and the coast. Most IC trains linking major cities should go, the NMBS spokesman Dimitri Temmerman said.
