Spring set to return with temperatures reaching 21°C on Friday

The recent spell of relatively cold weather is set to come to an end with warmer weather set to return this week. On Tuesday and Wednesday there is still a chance of some showers. However, from Thursday there will be fine, sunny weather with temperatures set to top 20°C.  

After a bright start there will be increased cloud as the day progresses on Monday. The west and southwest of the country will remain mostly bright for the duration of the day. It will remain dry and warmer than in recent days with temperatures reaching 11°C in the Ardennes and 16°C in central areas.  

Tuesday morning will start off sunny. However, gradually high cloud will start to appear, first of all in western areas near to the French border. Heap clouds will start to appear in the afternoon and they could be some scattered showers. Maximum temperatures will vary between 12°C on the High Fens and 17°C or 18°C in Flanders.       

Wednesday morning will be cloudy with some light rain or drizzle. In the afternoon it will be dryer with the chance of some bright spells. Maximum temperatures will vary between 11°C and 15°C.

Thursday will be mainly sunny and warm with temperatures of between 15°C and 19°C

On Friday there will be plenty of sun with temperatures reaching 16°C on the High Fens and in coastal areas. Central areas will see temperatures reach as high as 21°C. As things stand it looks as though the fine sunny weather will continue through the Easter weekend.
