European Parliament seats divided up
The results of the European elections in Flanders mirror the results of the national poll. The Flemish nationalists polled the strongest result with the far right Vlaams Belang coming second and significantly strengthening its showing.
With nearly all the votes counted the nationalists and far right have three seats each, the liberals and Christian democrats pick up two seats, while the socialists and greens are left with one seat.
