Rump EU bickers over who shall pay the bills post-Brexit

22/2/20 - European leaders have failed in their bid to come up with a deal to tackle the financial shortfall in the EU budget now that Britain has left the bloc.  60 to 75 billion euros is needed. Four mainly northern EU states are eager to put the organisation on a diet and make do with the financial means already available.  European council president Charles Michel had to admit he had been unable to reconcile positions.
