Kompany and De Bruyne spread Christmas cheer at Manchester Children hospital

The players of the English Premier League club Manchester City, including the Belgian international Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne have taking time out from training to spread some Christmas cheer.

On Thursday City’s Catalan Coach Pep Guardiola and the Belgian duo of Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany paid a surprise visit to the Royal Manchester Children Hospital. Kompany and De Bruyne even teamed up with some of the sick children for a game of table football.

The Manchester City players have also funded a Health Measurement Kiosk, which will help patients, families and members of staff calculate their heart age free of charge.

Manchester City Belgian international Captain Vincent Kompany told the Manchester Evening News that “Whenever I visit the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital I’m blown away by the spirit and bravery of all the youngsters I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. It’s a difficult time of year to be spending in hospital, but the staff and volunteers do an amazing job and hopefully everyone has enjoyed today."
