Saint Nicholas has arrived!

Saint Nicholas has arrived in Belgium, coming by ship from Spain, according to a long-time tradition.  The holy man was welcomed by a big crowd (and by Mayor Bart De Wever) in Antwerp. Saint Nicholas and Black Pete will bring all the children a surprise in the coming weeks, but toddlers normally have to wait until 6 December to discover their goodies. However, there is a 'but': only good children will receive a present! Saint Nicholas reassured everyone, declaring on stage that there have not been any naughty youngsters this year, so all can look forward to a present.
