Charleroi Airport

Six new routes to and from Charleroi Airport during the summer season

The company that runs the airport at Gosselies (Charleroi - Hainaut Province) has announced that 6 extra destinations will be available from the airport during the summer season. On Friday Brussels South Charleroi Airport announced that from Sunday 31 March passengers will be able to fly from Charleroi to Cork (Ireland), Sarajevo (Bosnia), Gothenburg (Sweden), Olbia (Italy) Dubrovnik (Croatia) and Ponta Delgada on the island of São Miguel, in the Azores.

Five airlines will be operating scheduled flights from Charleroi during the summer season. They are Ryanair, Wizzair, Air Corsica, Pegasus Airlines and Volotea.

The switch from winter to summer schedules allows these carriers to adjust their flight plans at the airports they serve. In this way, they are able to organise their flight capacity and seat provision to match demand. Certain routes only operate during the summer schedule, while flight frequency is increased on certain popular routes.

The summer schedule comes into effect on Sunday 31 March and ends on 27 October.
