Feeling “hot, hot, hot” as temperatures top 30°C

Tuesday is yet another warm with temperatures having reached 30°C in some areas by noon. Maximum temperatures vary between 30°C in coastal areas to 34°C in the Kempen area of Antwerp and Limburg provinces. A sea breeze will make things more bearable for those of us lucky enough to be able to  spend the afternoon at the coast.  From Wednesday it will become slightly less hot in most areas. However, the heatwave is forecast to continue  until the beginning of next week.  

In a number of inland areas temperatures had reached 30°C by 12 noon. In most areas wind speeds are slight to moderate.  

In coastal areas temperatures have reached 28°C with a slight sea breeze taking during the afternoon.  People are advised to avoid physical exertion where possible and to drink plenty of water.    

On Tuesday evening it will be mainly clear but with some cloud in some areas. Temperatures will fall to 16°C in coastal areas and 21°C in the south of the country. 

Cooler from Wednesday

From Wednesday temperatures will fall slightly. Only in south-eastern areas will temperatures top 30°C. In coastal areas we can expect top temperatures of between 20°C and 21°C with mist that could stay around all day.

On Thursday and Friday coastal area scan expect top temperatures of between 22°C and 24°C, while the south east will be baking in temperatures of between 31°C and 33°C. 

During the weekend too it will remain warm. On Monday maritime air will help to cool things off a little with top temperatures then expected to reach between 22°C and 27°C.
