European Gull Screeching Championships land in De Panne (VIDEO)

The Flemish seaside resort of De Panne hosted this year’s European Gull Screeching Championships at the weekend.  Simao Joao of Portugal won in the adult section with Joke De Keyrel of Belgium winning bronze.  VRT News was fortunate enough to speak with Joke after her feat.  She had listened to last year’s performances and hadn’t really expected to end in the Top 3.  Still, she was thrilled with her win in this unusual contest and agreed to perform her unique gull screeching endeavour at the end of the interview.
