A new museum in Bruges lets visitors discover Flemish Primitive works in 3D

The West Flemish city of Bruges has a new museum that is certainly not lacking in originality. Visitors to Musea Sculpta are given the chance to discover some of the major works by Flemish Primitive artists in 3D. No fewer than 40 artists from 7 different countries have worked on the museum’s unique collection.  

Some 22 tonnes of plaster was required to create the impressive mural sculptures. The 700m² museum’s collection includes 3D versions of renowned paintings such as ‘The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch and Jan Van Eyck’s ‘Adoration of Mystic Lamb’.
