Child star Arne Decock electrocuted in Boom
It has emerged that the 18-year-old actor and musical star was electrocuted after he climbed up an electricity pylon in Boom (Antwerp Province) last night.
It's unclear what motivated the young man, but prosecutors don't believe his death is suspicious or the result of suicide. Decock climbed over a fence and onto the pylon and probably touched a live high voltage wire.
In 2016 Decock starred in the musical "Kadanza T2gether" produced by the VRT young people's channel Ketnet and Studio 100.
Ketnet's Maarten Janssen: "We are moved by the tragic news. It is sad to lose such a talented and promising young man."
