Girl liberated from washing machine by Brussels firefighters

On Sunday evening, members of the Brussels fire services received a call to help a 9-year-old girl that had become stuck in a washing machine.

The girl had somehow managed to get both legs, up to and including the knees, inside the washing machine drum. She found herself in a difficult situation next, as it turned out to be impossible to get her legs out. Her parents came to help, but were unable to get her out. They next called the firefighters, who applied washing liquid on the girls' legs, managing to liberate her after all.

A doctor examined the younster on the spot and found it was not necessary to bring her to hospital. It is not clear why the girl wanted to get inside the washing machine.
