Rail company's recruitment drive a success

The Belgian rail company NMBS has succeeded in filling three-quarters of the vacancies it had open for this year. The new staff that has started work or is currently being trained includes engineers, train drivers and train guards. Saturday’s strike by members of the rail union OVS is in protest at a shortage of train guards. Only about half of services will run.
