Hasselt to monitor air pollution

The first so-call “snuffle pole” has been put in place in the Limburg city of Hasselt. The poles carry equipment to measure air quality. In time around forty “snuffle poles” will be installed a locations across the city. Hasselt is the first city with a snuffle post to measure amongst other things levels of particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide. In time the scheme will be rolled out across the region.
