Flats evacuated after fire in underground garage

The Municipal Disaster Action Plan was in force for a time on Sunday after a car caught fire in the underground garage of two blocks of Flats in the Brussels municipality of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek. The smoke from the fire meant that the residents of the flats on the Mahatma Gandhilaan were evacuated.  No one was injured. The Fire Service used a large ventilator to disperse the smoke.
