Man dies in crash on motorway near Leuven
A motorist has died in an accident on the E314 motorway at Heverlee, near Leuven in Flemish Brabant. The accident happened between the Heverlee intersection and the Leuven turnoff at around 7:45 am on Thursday. The car hit the crash barrier and ended up on the central reservation.
The accident victim was a 27-year-old man. The exact circumstances surrounding the accident are still the subject of an investigation.
Wreckage from the car was strew across the motorway, causing its temporary closure. This led to tailbacks for motorists joining the E314 from the E40.
