Copper coin collection raises 358,168.13 euro for cancer research

The cancer research charity Kom op tegen kanker’s copper coin collection campaign has raised 358,168.13 euro. Kom op tegen kanker that is supported by the VRT asked Flemings to save their 1, 2 and 5 cent coins and donate them to help fund scientific research in the fight against cancer. With 1 and 2 cent coins due to be scrapped later this year, this was properly the last copper coin collection to be organised by the charity.
