Crown Princess Elisabeth to study at Harvard

Crown Princess Elisabeth will be heading over the Atlantic later this year to become a student at the prestigious Havard University. The 22-year-old that at some point in her life will become Belgium’s first female Head of State has passed the admission test for Havard’s master’s in public policy course. Princess Elisabeth is currently nearing the end of her bachelor’s degree course in history and politics at the University of Oxford in the UK.

This summer King Filip and Queen Mathilde’s oldest daughter will leave Lincoln College Oxford to further her education at another of the world’s most prestigious seats of learning, Havard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Princess Elisabeth will sit her finals at Oxford this month and next. She will receive her degree certificate at a ceremony to be held some time during the summer. At the end of August the Crown Princess will leave for Havard’s Kennedy School where she will start studying for a master’s degree in public policy.

Princess Elisabeth is not the first member the Belgian Royal family to go and study in United States. Her cousin Prince Joachim got his degree in business administration at Harvard and King Filip studied political science at Stanford.
