Changeable, but quite hot. That's the forecast!

24°C in places today and even higher tomorrow!

Today and tomorrow look forward to some real spring days. Today 24 °C may occur in places, tomorrow we may even see 25°C inland. But these are changeable spring days, explains VRT weather lady Sabine Hagedoren. Showers and thunderstorms lurk around many a corner.

This morning cloudy periods will alternate with brighter weather. Broadening clear spells will develop over eastern Belgium, while in western parts it remains rather cloudy, with the chance of showers. Highs between 18°C and 24°C in places.

Tonight showers and thunderstorms may reach Belgium from France. They will affect the western part of the country first, and then, during the night, other areas. Lows between 9°C and 13°C.

Highs above 20 degrees until Thursday

Wednesday, the public holiday due to May Day, gets off to a dry start with clear spells in many parts. During the day, we will see cumulus cloud developing with the chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Highs between 20°C and 25°C inland, climbing no higher than 16°C or 17°C on the Flemish coast.

In the evening, a zone of thunderstorms reaches our country from France with showers concentrated along the French border. The thunderstorms may be intense and accompanied by hail.

Thursday also begins with sunny spells. Then cloud moves northwards. In the afternoon, the centre and north of the country see moderate rain at first. Along the German and Dutch borders it will be thundery. Highs between 14°C and 21°C.

Friday starts out heavily overcast, with possibly some rain on the coast. Broad clear spells will develop during the afternoon. It will remain dry in most places with highs between 9°C and 15°C.

Saturday will begin dry and sunny. In the course of the day, cumulous clouds will appear triggering some showers. We expect highs of 11°C to 18°C degrees. Sunday is looking partly cloudy. It often remains dry. Highs between 11°C and 18°C.
