The boy left his school at around 3pm on Tuesday but failed to arrive at his home. Police eventually found the boy in the ditch that is around 100 metres from the route between his school and his home.

Police mounted a large-scale search opperaion in an attempt to find the 9-year-old. He had left his school at round 3pm to walk home. However, he never arrived and concerned family members raised the alarm.

The search continued on Wednesday morning and at around 10:30am it was announced that the boy had been found alive in a ditch not far from the route that he normally walks between school and his home. Despite his ordeal the boy is said to be in good health.

There is probably no question of foul play and the boy probably just wandered off route and fell into the ditch.
