Fanny Lecluyse sets new Belgian 100m breaststroke record

At the Swimming World Championship in South Korea Fanny Lecluyse has set a new Belgian 100m breaststroke record. With a time of 1'07"27 she improved on her own previous Belgian record by two hundredth. The 27-year-old West Fleming’s time was enough to see her go through to the semi-finals in 9th place overall.    

Fanny Lecluyse swam in the 6th and final series, beating her previous Belgian record that she set 4 years ago in Kazan, Russia.   

The semi-finals take place later on Monday with the final being held on Tuesday. Fanny Lecluyse will also be in action in 200 metre breaststroke on Thursday and the 50 metres on this coming Saturday.
